Head
of Security vacancy
Our
client, a listed company with operations in East and Central wishes
to recruit a highly
motivated
and professional individual to fi ll the position of a Group Head
of Security.
Reporting
to the CEO, the successful incumbent will oversee country security
needs and support
the
subsidiaries on their businesses security needs.
S/He
will also be responsible for:
•
Developing and
implementing the Group’s security strategy;
•
Ensuring the safety
of the Group’s resources and the adoption of effective protection
and
preventive
measures;
•
Designing an
effective security structure to ensure effective services;
•
Identifying the
Group’s security risks and how to mitigate them;
•
Investigating and
analysing cases for ease of decision making;
•
Identifying and
appointing third party service providers to provide required
services;
•
Leading and managing
staff within the department;
•
Preparing the
department’s budget and implementation plan.
The
successful candidate will be required to have a university degree
from a recognised university,
and
extensive training in security and risk assessment. S/he will need to
have a minimum of ten
years’
experience overseeing security services preferably in a fast moving
consumer and high risk
products’
environment.
The
ideal candidate will be technology savvy and a good communicator with
impressive
interpersonal
skills. S/he will have good information contacts and networks, and
good
understanding
of the prosecution process within the region.
An
appreciation of business processes and controls in manufacturing
environment will be an
added
advantage.
