Consultant .
Job
description
We
are seeking an Business Intelligence consultant to play a lead role
in our client engagements. You will function as an analyst,
architect, implementer, and technical lead supporting our clients.
You will possess a deep background in data warehouse design, data
integration / ETL issues, and Oracle BI/Cognos/SAP reporting methods,
with specific experiences in CRM, Insurance and Finance.
Duties
also include:
- Collaborate with business users to capture and define business requirements
- Design, develop and implement BI metadata/logical data models
- Design, develop and implement complex BI user interface objects (e.g. reports, analytics, ad-hoc queries, dashboards, etc.)
- Design and support BI security model
- Determine requirements for aggregate tables
- Troubleshoot performance issues of BI environment and evaluate existing logic for tuning possibilities
Requirements
Candidates
qualifying for this position will have similar experience along with
the skills and abilities to perform the duties mentioned above.
Candidates with any previous experience working with BI in insurance
would be a great match.
- B.S. degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Oracle BI EE (Multi User Development of Repositories (MUD), Cognos or SAP Business Objects
- Experience in OBIEE 11 and OBIEE 10 installation and development
- 2 plus years experience with business intelligence, ETL and database tools with a thorough understanding of dimensional modeling and relevant data concepts.
- At least 1 year of working in a consulting capacity.
- Strong proficiency of either general insurance or life insurance.
- Strong proficiency of development methodologies, QA fundamentals, and project management.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Strong communication and “client-facing” skills.
