Job description
§ Achieve yearly financial plan and quarterly targets for Revenue, Signings and Gross profit objectives for the unit.
§ Demonstrate commitment to deliver weekly and monthly tracks as per targets set with a special focus on Short term Signings and associated revenue yield
§ Adhere timely and accurately to all IBM policies and processes including but not limited to Contract and Project Change Request processing, Signings recognition, Delivery Service Operation, Delivery Excellence, Accounts receivable and expense management for Managed Entity Group (MEG).
§ Work with Service Line leaders to achieve or exceed established over/under and chargeable and team utilization targets
§ Specifically drive line Partners to meeting their personal utilization target
§ Drive growth initiatives in Front Office Digitization, Cloud, Mobile Business, Data Analytics, Globally Integrated Enterprise and cross-brand offerings in accordance with GBS objectives. Team across IBM to sell services that differentiate IBM as well as drive larger, more profitable IBM growth
§ Collaborate and orchestrate the interplay between Industry, Service Line, Sales & Distribution, Other brands to achieve desired business results and sign cross brand deals with GBS leading;
§ Pro-actively drive PCW on all deals in the MEG and work in a manner that maximizes revenue on all deals;
§ Incorporate and sell Global delivery & Centre of Competence components for competitive advantage. Ensure forecast accuracy
§ Manage the practice for maximum effectiveness by working with the Middle East and Africa Service Line leaders to define accurate hiring plans to enable growth and on-time fulfillment and drive hiring cycle time reductions.
§ Manage growth and/or reductions such that we meet demand for skills and maintain minimum bench levels.
Develop and execute a 2014 Integrity Plan that includes a proactive assessment of integrity risk areas, robust compliance education and effective accountability.
§ Maintain a strong compliance and business control posture with zero tolerance for violations of IBM's Business Conduct Guidelines§ Meet or exceed client expectations as demonstrated by formal Client Satisfaction Surveys
§ Continually build greater relationships with the client by: developing lasting relationships with C-Suite decision makers, opening up new relationships that drive/enable our Front Office initiatives and building strongholds across both business and IT
§ Deliver innovative solutions according to schedule and at or above price case
§ Consistently generate client references.
§ Build and complete targeted personal external eminence through publications, speaking engagements, patents, industry awards, etc. specific to your market place needs and client’s industry
§ Demonstrate expertise in client's industry, key business issues and priorities
§ Build or enhance social brand through actively participating on internal IBM communities and external social business forums
§ Collaborate with Industry and MEG leaders to bring in the right expertise, leveraging Assets / intellectual capital and teaming within GBS / other brands to improve delivery quality, client satisfaction and pipeline in your Account;
§ Create and support apprenticeship opportunities and assimilation of Partners
§ Coach and mentor at least 3-4 graduate consultants during the year by educating them on IBM culture, methods and values
§ Focus on talent development, career growth, training and cross-leverage across Middle East and Africa Integrated Operating Teams
§ Build focus industry skills (e.g. Banking, Telco, and Government)
§ Strengthen African talent by hiring local and building capabilities through a focused professional development strategy
§ Partner and leverage IBM expertise - Global Delivery / Centre Of Competence resource leverage
Build Eminence through Thought Leadership
§ Engage with CXOs to build credibility leveraging IBM’s thought leadership and CXO Studies Suite
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 8 years experience in Business & Customer Strategy - Focuses on where to compete using innovation to create new business models and drive growth both organically and inorganically
  • At least 8 years experience in Technology Strategy - Focuses on harnessing technology to drive business innovation and create sustainable growth while optimizing the performance of the IT organization
  • At least 8 years experience in Organization & People - Focuses on enabling the workforce to be more effective within an organization.
  • At least 8 years experience in enabling innovation through collaboration; performance and talent management; and effective leadership; all supported by efficient HR and comprehensive analytics
  • At least 8 years experience in Operations & Supply Chain - Focuses on developing operating models and interconnecting end-to-end supply chain functions for optimized process efficiency and effectiveness
  • At least 8 years experience in Finance & Risk - Focuses on integrating financial functions, improving forecasting and reporting, developing predictive capabilities, reducing enterprise risk, and optimizing the strategic functions
  • English: Fluent
