You shall be responsible for coordinating daily sports, entertainment and various activities and creating evening shows with the entertainment team and external entertainers for entertaining guests. Selling & promoting internal hotel products & services to guests.

Specific responsibilities:
• Preparation of an annual entertainment events calendars and promotional and marketing plans for outlets.
• Sourcing for and keeping an updated database of service providers for major hotel events including djs, sound systems, professional stage and rigging, professional lighting systems.
• Ensuring cost control on entertainment operating equipment through strict inventory, consistent spot checks and regular maintenance to minimize losses.
• In-charge of developing the groups kids club annual revenue generating strategy. Creation of monthly kids party themes and following up on logistics for the event.
• Creation of departmental schedules and checklists to ensure all duties are allocated and follow-up made to conclude appropriately.
• Member of the hotel’s official photography team that annually organizes for hotel photo shoots for marketing.
• Handling of international guests in a pr capacity and helping facilitate international events at an organizational and implementation level.

Person’s specification

Minimum qualification: Applicants must have a degree from a recognized institution-preferably in arts.
Professional qualification: must have experience in events planning and team building. Be financial savvy.
Experience: minimum 3 years in events management.
Technical training: knowledge of managing a kids’ event /activity and knowledge of running a themed club. In-depth understanding of music genres and professional event equipments.
Management skills: possess effective supervisory, leadership, excellent communication skills-orator and team building skills.
Performance management and HR management skills.
Personal competences: Should have a positive attitude, team working and good communication skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, extremely well composed, pleasant, warm, friendly energetic and determined.
Good negotiation, conflict management, networking, mentoring and coaching skills. Well dressed and groomed.
