Description
Reporting
to the Managing Director, the Public Affairs and Communications (PAC)
Manager is responsible for the provision of PAC strategy, leadership
and support and to lead the PAC Team in order to protect and enhance
the reputation and image of the Company and its brands.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities
• Lead,
develop, articulate and drive the PAC Strategy.
• Identify and
leverage opportunities for collaboration with public sector and other
private sector stakeholders.
• Advance the Company's position by
enhancing meaningful relationships with relevant constituents
including targeted stakeholders in government, society and
communities
• Advance the company’s corporate brand image by
through an integrated public affairs and communications strategy and
serve as a guardian of the Company’s corporate brand image.
•
Manage and serve as author for communications, columns and articles
for trade, business, community, general public and targeted interest
publications.
• Provide guidance and direction to NBL's
community interventions for Community projects being driven through
the business agenda including 5x20; Water; Health Entrepreneurship
and Education initiatives.
• Implement high impact and
sustainable programs and sponsorships to promote community
development and enhance the Company’s reputation and social
footprint.
• Anticipate talent needs and help to recruit,
develop, retain and reward team members as well as leveraging on
individual differences to motivate others and create organizational
impact.
Skills,
Experience & Education
• A
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a business related area. A
master’s degree will be an added advantage.
• 7 years Public
Affairs and Communications experience preferably in an FMCG or
Beverage industry with at least 3 years at senior level.
• A
strong track record of positioning an organization to achieve
tangible outcomes in a competitive communications environment.
•
Ability to navigate unchartered territory and rapid changes due to
economic factors, public policy and other changes.
• Good
business and commercial acumen with strong understanding of Coca-Cola
value chains.
• Experience in Public Sector Relationship
Management and communication leading and working with a diverse
team.
• Experience in strategy formulation, planning
implementation of public affairs and communications management.
•
Experience in engaging and managing media.
• Experience in
managing corporate social responsibility and sustainability
initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to
engage across all levels.
