Our client an International Law Firm based in Nairobi is looking for a Research and Data Officer to prepare comprehensive research on clients and potential client companies.


Key Responsibilities:
Provides network and firm lawyers with key information and analysis on existing and potential client’s businesses and legal needs.
• Helps articulate qualitative interpretations that enable the attorneys to have a more competitive edge in the RFP process.
• Strategies cross-selling activities by providing charts and spread sheets in city-focused, geographical, company tree or other customized format.
• Creates, maintains and updates extensive collection of all networks.
• Perform data and content entry for the firm’s marketing systems.
• Evaluates potential business and competitive intelligence.


Key Qualifications:
Must have a bachelors degree in marketing or related field.
• Must have 2+ years previous experience in marketing and business development, donor research or law library consulting.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and various on line databases.
• Previous law firm experience is a definite plus.

Description
Job purpose:
To support business expansion in South East Africa by ensuring that all regulatory processes are adhered to as per below responsibilities.This includes stewardship on regulatory matters and assisting in reaching the SEA target of no miss on regulatory outages
Job scope:
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure fast market access of P&G products by providing regulatory support.The objective is to ensure all brands are registered and Plants licensed as a by project requirement.



Job responsibilities
Ensures fast market access for P&G products in SEA markets
  • Ensures availability of standards and regulations and their correct interpretation. Monitors and informs P&G on development of new regulations/ standards.
  • Proactively informs P&G on emerging regulatory issues with product import.
  • Registration of all new brands with the required authority in each country.
  • Triggers the renewal of licensing and registration process of P&G products 2 months before expiration by informing Regulatory Managers to kick-start the process.
  • Updates regulatory assessment worksheet and provides weekly updates to P&G.
  • Prepares documentation needed for product registration by liaising with R&D.
  • Play a key role in simplifying current regulatory processes.
  • Liaise with regulatory consultants and Distributor ER managers to source required information and manage registrations.
Qualifications
Summary of Job Requirements:
  • Minimum education of bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong skills in leadership, and excellent in communication.
  • Good command of the English & local language
