Our client,seeks a Sales Executive who will plan, manage and deliver on executing over the counter Sales and driving revenue targets enabling successful short, medium and long term alignment and customer satisfaction. They will also develop the customer base through sales, providing general customer service and keeping the clients updated on the products and services offered through the business.

Key Deliverables
Deliver on sales targets as per agreed KPI’s by pro-actively closing sales from walk-in customers.
Own the process of generating quotations for counter and managing telephone customer enquiries.
New business development from both Walk-in customers and client telephone enquiries.
Offering product knowledge and direct sales services to walk in and tele-sales to customer enquiries.
High level of customer service and negotiation skills for both walk-in and customer telephone queries.
Timely processing of customer orders and pro-active follow up on customer enquiries.
Pro-active confirmation on stock availability, and follow up on stock shortages

Desired Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Business Management or equivalent qualifications from a reputable learning institution.
Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering qualifications would be added advantage.
At least 2 years’ experience in sales and negotiating skills of steel products or related industry products.
Good relationship building, communication and networking skills
Good Influencing, negotiation, analytical and Interpersonal Skills.
Possess up-to-date product knowledge of steel industry, trends and information

Job purpose
The Operations Consultant will be based in the Nairobi Business Unit (BU) Office on a B2B, 4 on 4 off rotation and is responsible for provide Operational consultancy services to Kenya Business Unit Operations Manager including but not limited to operational improvement programmes, risk management, production efficiency, incident investigation and independent audit and review.The Operations Consultant will support in effective development, integration and execution of all BU Operational requirements and supporting the development and implementation of processes, systems and standards in field based operations. This position is a key support role to the Operations Manager (Nairobi based).The role contributes to business unit success by ensuring that all BU Office based activities which support day-to-day exploration, appraisal and operations, as well as early development planning, are integrated and managed in an efficient and timely manner.Key to this role is interfacing between the various operational sites and the respective Tullow Function Heads and Field Operations Manager to ensure that supporting activities are executed in compliance with Tullow Oil Kenya Policies and Guidelines.The Operations Support Engineer also has a pivotal role in ongoing issues management and plays an important interface role between Social Performance, Asset Protection, Well Engineering, EHS and site operations.The position works closely with supporting functions to ensure technical and non-technical issues associated with the successful delivery of the exploration and appraisal work programme are appropriately managed with, and reported to, key internal stakeholders. It works cross functionally to support early integrated planning and execution of site based activities. 
Responsibilities /Key Objectives:
  • In cooperation with Tullow Oil Operation Manager, assist and support all Business Unit Office and Field based activities in areas of exploration, appraisal and Operations, well testing and early development planning.
  • Ensure that operational planning takes account of non-technical above ground risks, trends and events that may negatively affect Tullow Kenya’s ability to execute the agreed (or proposed) work programme.
  • Work with development team on Operational activity as required
  • Work with Civils in the pre-planning, construction of new well pads, camp locations, forward operating bases etc.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant permits (including but not necessarily limited to ESIAs and Site Specific Assessments). This includes ensuring that all operating procedures are in place and being implemented by contractors.
  • Development and implementation of Operational processes and procedures driven by the Corporate Standards
  • Input into work programme schedules, budgets, resourcing and manpower requirements.
  • Ensure that lines of communication and information flows are effective between respective sites and between site operations and Nairobi with respect to above ground risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and management planning as required.
  • Assist field staff with any troubleshooting of problems
  • Investigate field reports, by following up with first hand confirmation of data
  • Assist engineers with identifying problems and encouraging problem solving and follow-thru
  • Participate and contribute to functional audits / reviews (either internal or external).
  • Support execution of Tullow Kenya initiatives which may be owned by Social Performance, EHS or Supply Chain Management as requested.
Experience and Education:
  • Experience in Operations Management
  • Strong track record in building successful relationships and securing alignment between multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in relationship management, negotiations, and conflict resolution.
  • Essential in the ability to develop high quality operational support documentation
  • Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward department and business goals
  • Solid understanding of international best practice/standards in this area.
  • Must have capacity to develop quality documentation in support of Operational activity
Skills:
  • A broad range of management competences are required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning.
  • Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of Social Performance, Asset Protection and EHS issues affecting oil operations, including an ability to build a holistic picture of the key factors as they affect the company.

Job purpose
  • To supervisor all Field based Civil activity associated with the exploration and developments program. This includes but not limited to the design, construction and handover of new well pads to Well Engineering Manager, construction and upgrading of roads.
  • Work closely with all stake holders (Consultants, Contractors, Field Engineers / Supervisor and Tullow Head office)and provide leadership, guidance and support to the team so as to ensure timely completion of projects within the agreed schedule, budget and in line with the Company’s standards.
Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
  • Supervise the Field Civil team who will oversee the civil works from start to finish.
  • Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed by working closely with the Field Operations Manager, Civils Manager and various stake holders.
  • Assign individual responsibilities to the Field Civil staff as required
  • Provide Technical support and guidance to the Field Civil team.
  • Project accounting functions by ensuring that the Field team maintain a proper record of actual works on site and all site activities which will assist the Civils Manager manage the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule and are completed within agreed timeliness.
  • Work closely with the Field Engineers/ Supervisor and Contractors to devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
  • Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the Consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and Field Engineers/ Supervisor.
  • Periodic inspection of construction sites.
  • Ensuring the Field Engineers/ Supervisor prepare accurate daily reports and maintain a record of meetings held and all site instructions.
  • Work closely with the Civils Manager and Field Engineers/ Supervisor to ensure project documents are complete, correct and up-to-date from date of site hand over, during the construction duration and at the end of the project.
  • Work closely with the Civils Manager, Field Operations Manager and Civil Supervisors to identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
  • Serve as a key link between the Field and the Head Office
  • Review the deliverables and reports prepared by the Field team before passing onto Civils Manager.
Education
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field .
  • Experience in construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good understanding of construction industry and Contract law.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction safety standards is essential.
