Job Objective
The BDM will contribute to building this phenomenal Brand's Institutional, HNW and Retail Business in Kenya. Working in conjunction with the Company's personnel, the ideal candidate will help to develop and execute strategies for growing the presence of the Brand in Kenya, developing an understanding of local needs and opportunities, and nurturing relationships (and building a client-base).
With an excellent understanding of the Kenyan Asset Management Industry, the BDM must have access to good contacts within the Industry and process entrepreneurial drive to grow and develop new business.
The position is responsible for developing strategies in identifying, assessing and managing (mitigating against) business risks factors to ensure smooth and profitable operations by the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·To help start and develop a business branch in Kenya
·To develop and nurture relationships with current and prospective / potential clients
·To build Brand presence in Kenya
·To market Company Products and funds and start generating flows to these products and funds
·To keep current with developments and trends in the Kenyan market; to draw insights from this information and formulate opportunities
·To maintain close working relationships with Business Teams across the Continent ensuring that Business is conducted in a manner consistent with how the Company operates and leverage off experience derived in other areas
·To ensure the highest standard of service excellence and integrity
·To report on progress
EXPERIENCE:
·Drive, discipline and a pro-active, self-sufficient outlook
·An entrepreneurial outlook with a passion to build a business
·Good strategic and conceptual thinking ability
·Maturity to speak confidently and with respect to intermediaries and clients, many of whom may be senior executives
