Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the
Maintenance controller, the successful candidate’s main
responsibilities will be:-
1.Provide 1st line maintenance support
to packaging equipment. Involves preventing maintenance, fault
finding and corrective maintenance.
2.Execute maintenance
activities to ensure maximum availability of production equipment.
Maintained SHEQ standards.
3.Participating in failure
investigations and root cause analysis and close out of corrective
actions.
4.Improve safety of work and machinery.
5.Support and
participate in TPM initiatives..
Skills,
Experience & Education
We
are interested in candidates with following qualifications;
Diploma
or higher in Mechanical Engineering(Plant Option) or Mechatronics
qualification.
• At least 2 years practical experience as a
qualified technician in FMCG environment.
• Experience in a
highly automated soft drinks manufacturing industry will be an added
advantage.

1. Human resources director
Purpose: The HR Director reports to the Vice Chancellor and CEO of
the university. He/ She will have the ultimate responsibility for all
human capital development within the University from both an
operational and strategic perspective. Other key responsibilities

managers and faculty/staff in Human Resources processes and
practices to achieve KCA University’s objectives in line with the
strategic plan.

Staff recruitment, selection and retention planning;
Policy development and documentation;
Coordinate performance management;
Design and oversee attractive compensation, benefits and wellness programs;
Prepare and manage the HR departmental budget;
Draft and implement the HR strategy that will support the implementation of the overall KCAU strategic plan;
Develop risk management framework for the department;
Design a career progression and succession plan;
Ensure KCAU compliance with Labour Laws and statutory requirements;
Conduct regular surveys of Kenyan labour market as relates to higher educational institutions to ensure a competitive reward package;
In collaboration with DVC Academic Affairs, initiate exchange programs with other local, regional and international universities;
Develop an appropriate talent identification and management approach;
Manage department through responsive human resources processes and service
Providing general administrative support to the Board of Trustees and University Council in the areas of Human Resources; and
Serve on various divisions and the university forums and committees.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic and Professional Qualification
Master’s degree in HR or related field
Professional qualification in Human Resources Management
Experience
9 to 10 years’ experience with at least 6 years’ experience at a manager level; and
• Must be an active member of the Institute of Human Resources Management
Other attributes
A person with a high level of integrity and a strong sense of personal accountability for business performance and for accomplishing the goals of the business.
Excellent analytical skills;
Well-developed report writing skills;

Purpose: The Registrar reports to the Senior DVC – Academic & Students’ Affairs and Enrolment Management. He/ She will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of academic activities, safe custody of academic records and is the Chief Examination Officer.
