Job Description
The Assistant Credit Controller will be a key member of the Accounting Department responsible for chasing outstanding invoices to the company and plays a vital role in the cash-flow of the organisation ensuring credit given to customers is monitored and controlled effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Chasing debt by telephone and email and reducing debtor days
Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances
Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
Liaising with the sales teams to resolve customer queries
Ensuring that all major accounts work to agreed order to cash cycle
Daily and month end reporting and account reconciliations
Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
Working to strict monthly and annual collections targets

Skills, Experience & Education
Has strong understanding of the order-to-pay process in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of the principles and practices of financial record keeping as they relate to the Accounts Receivables function and basic accounting practices and procedures
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, and have strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Proficiency in SAP, ERP System
A passion for precision and a desire to get things right, first time
A robust character, able to respond to pressing demands from customers and colleagues
Good communication skills, written and verbal – the ability to get the tone right as well as the substance, particularly on the phone and via email

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should possess 3+ years’ experience in accounting including 1-2 years in Credit Control with a minimum of an honors degree and CPA/ACCA Finalist.

To execute maintenance activities in Asset Care, that will increase productivity of the company’s assets according to SABCO’s engineering standards
Key Duties & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Reporting to the services maintenance Controller, the successful candidate’s main responsibilities will be;
To ensure services/ Utilities equipment and all buildings are well maintained through preventive maintenance. (Be able to do TIG and arc welding, carpentry, masonry and painting.)
To ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of services/ utilities equipment.
To plan and execute services projects that will increase productivity of the company according to Coca Cola SABCO engineering standards.
To ensure minimum downtime (maximum availability) of services utilities.
Support E.O.S.H standards and Energy sustainability.

Skills, Experience & Education
We are interested in candidates with following qualifications;
Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• At least 2 years practical experience as a qualified technician in FMCG environment.
• Experience in soft drinks packaging environment will be an added advantage.

****Application deadline: 21 st September, 2014****This role reports the Managing Director, KBLContext/Scope:KBL produces & distributes a large portfolio of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; it also includes a malting plant and a glass factory within its matrix of companies and operates throughout the EA region. Our business model includes publicly quoted companies, joint ventures and 3rd party distributors.
KBL’s businesses produce and sell a range of local beer and spirit brands including Tusker, Senator Keg and Guinness (beer) and Kane Extra Gold; Richot and V&A (spirits). KBL’s association with Diageo make it also the leading premium spirits company in East Africa, and its great brands include Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky, Smirnoff vodka, Baileys and Gilbeys gin.
This role interfaces with Key Stakeholders- KBL Exec Members, Global Diageo leadership, customers; suppliers – (both current and potential), Board of Directors, EABL/Diageo-Strategic Partners, Commercial Managers and BU functional Heads to derive solutions on issues and opportunities confronting EABL/Diageo.
Purpose of the role:• Provide support to the Managing Director.
• To manage key deliverables and action points on behalf of the MD.

Premium spirits has experienced significant growth, and international companies are beginning to dial up their presence in East Africa.Top Accountabilities:
Organizing and Planning Key MD Meetings

  • Organization, management and facilitation of key meetings and forums including KBL Exec meetings, EMT and other meetings.
  • Preparing agendas for meetings.
  • Efficient management of the MD’s diary & travel arrangements.
  • Taking minutes and action points from the Exec and MD meetings
  • Tracking follow-up actions and results.
  • Constant up-dates on pertinent issues provide consistent support on general business management issues.
Production of Key MD Reports
  • Coordinate MD board papers, presentations and Strategy papers
  • Research, analyze, distil and cascade diverse sources of information to develop an understanding of the macroeconomic, social, political, beverage industry and competitive environments.
  • Preparing, researching and documenting information for meetings as appropriate and as deemed necessary by MD.
Stakeholder Management
  • Develop & maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders including Corporate, Heads of BUs, Functions heads, key business partners and external stakeholders.
MD Strategic Projects
  • Management, tracking and coordination of special MD projects.
Support the MD by providing visibility on key revenue growth management areas like sales, cogs etc.Qualification & Experience:University degree qualification or equivalent is required, with at least 2 years’ experience working in an FMCG environment.
Key functional capabilities required for this role are excellent relationship building and influencing skills, highly organised with ability to multi task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly important for managing expectations with stakeholders and external suppliers.
