Accountant
  • Diploma in Accounting or CPA finalist
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a service delivery environment
  • Verifying that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Processing and recording all cheques
  • Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Timely preparation of suppliers’ payments
  • Posting and reconciling all supplier payments
  • Updating the Sage System with accounts payable
  • Timely reconciliation of Supplier Accounts
  • Receiving and counter-checking all signed delivery notes from suppliers
  • Timely paying V.A.T, N.S.S.F, N.H.I.F PAYE and other legal payments
  • Ensuring timely payment of insurance for the company vehicles, stock and other assets
  • Maintaining and paying for business license, City Council license and rates
  • Filing all service providers and supplier invoices and also any other payable materials
  • Responding to suppliers emails and calls
  • Preparing company cash flow projections
  • Posting and pricing all locally manufactured goods and costing of imported goods
  • Negotiating credit facilities with suppliers
  • Receiving and verifying supplier invoices and requisitions for goods
Credit control
  • Diploma in Credit Mgt or business/Finance related field
  • Good understanding and implementation of the credit policy.
  • Lending and relationship management experience to create a balance between credit risk and customer service
  • At least three (4) years’ experience in a credit function of a financial institution
  • Have an excellent interpersonal, organizing and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with outstanding reporting skills.
