innovative development projects. As a Software developer in Research
you will design and develop state-of-the-art mobile, web, and desktop
applications across multiple platforms and devices. You will be
expected to define and develop innovative technical solutions, and
work with business & development teams to ensure these solutions
have a significant impact.Required

description
The
incumbent is responsible for the overall development, management,
planning delivery and monitoring of Routine EPI program and other
relevant strategies for improving immunization coverage within the
Accelerated Child Survival and Development (ACSD) program of UNICEF
Somalia, one of the three program thrusts of UNICEF in Somalia for
2011-15. Only 5% of Somali children are fully immunized and 19% are
vaccinated against measles as per MICS 2006. The overall objective is
to increase and sustain levels of immunization coverage through the
combined strategies of CHDs, RED (outreach), acceleration and routine
fixed site EPI activities and through linkages with other
programs.The results expected by the end of 2015 is a progressive
increase of measles immunization to >65% and fully immunization
coverage to >50%.

Skills and Experience
- Advanced
university degree in medicine or related field i.e. public health.
- Knowledge
of latest development and technology in the health and specifically
immunization field.
- Proven
ability to conceptualize, plan and manage programs as well as
transfer of skills to others. Drive for results.
- Leadership
skills, effective communication and negotiation including advocacy
skills.
- Analytical
ability, maturity, ability to work in a team, copes under stressful
and difficult work condition. Ability to work in an international or
multicultural environment.
- Knowledge
of common computer applications, i.e. work processing, spreadsheet
and database.
- Eight
years of relevant work experience at national and international
level in program management and planning and specifically in
immunization. Previous experience in fragile states desirable.
- Fluency
in English and another UN language. Knowledge of the local working
language of the duty station would be an asset.

Assistant

PURPOSE:
Ensure
that underwriting guidelines are met through accurate membership data
capture, timely processing of medical cards, prompt dispatch of
policy documents and endorsements.
NATURE
AND SCOPE:
The
position reports to the UNDERWRITING SUPERVISOR - MEDICAL.
The
jobholder is responsible for:
- Compliance
to underwriting guidelines.
- Processing
and issuing of endorsements & membership cards
- Dispatch
of endorsements, policy documents & cards
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Underwriting
of medical application forms
- Accurate
capture and maintenance of client data
- Prompt
processing and dispatch of policy documents, new business and
renewal debits.
- Processing
of endorsements within set time frames,
- Timely
issuance and dispatch of debit and credit notes
- Preparation
and issuance of medical cards within set time frames
- Process
renewal of policies in the system within set time frame
- Attend
to correspondences and client queries within set time lines
- Capture
policy terms and conditions for reference
KNOWLEDGE,
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors
Degree or equivalent (Educational)
- Pursuing
Insurance Professional qualifications
- A
minimum of two years experience in medical insurance
- Relevant
Computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel

- Timely
dispatch of policy documents, policy debits and endorsements within
agreed Service Level Agreements
- Timely
