Description
Position: Territory Sales Managers
Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager
Range: R3
Department: Mass Market
Role Purpose:
Primarily the TSM will be responsible for indirect generation of sales revenue through effective management of TKL partners in the assigned area.
This by ensuring availability of the company’s products and services in the area at all times and effectively aligning partners to meet the retail market objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities.
Grow Sales
Within the assigned Area he/she will ensure sales growth by developing innovative ways of increasing/growing airtime sales at the Point of Purchase; Value added services and connections by ensuring availability of the company products at all times within the area of Accountability; Generating and analyzing qualitative performance of the business.
Distribution
Effective implementation of distribution strategy in the trade to achieve availability and grow sales within the assigned area; Documented and actual implementation of trade distribution routines as per business Distribution Strategy/objectives; Attainment of Outlet Penetration (No of new outlets including Non Traditional Channels); Attainment of Communicated Availability targets; Adherence and completion of Daily, monthly trade routes and attainment of distribution service targets.
Sales Targets and Routines/ Processes
Achievement of the Area’s Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annually or Annual sales targets in and ensure internal collaboration, team work development and implementation of key Management and sales routines; Airtime Usage and Sales; Subscriber acquisition/connection
Implementation and adoption of approved market routines in the Area of accountability.
Development of sales programs and branding
Prepare, plan and execute Area Sales programs aimed at market penetration, availability of the company products and services at all time and ensure shops are well branded according to Telkom Kenya and Orange brand guidelines in order to create awareness & ensure that stores are well stocked and sell at recommended sales prices; Documented and approved Monthly/Quarterly territory Plans aligned to the Area Business Plan;Effective executed sales programs in the Area as per targets set in the plan (number and Quality/Results of promotions/Road shows held).
Qualifications
Academic/ Professional Qualifications
Ø Bachelors Degree in Commerce or a related field from a recognized Institution.
Ø Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, sales management or trade execution.
Ø Should be able to demonstrate experience in brand management and high level knowledge of the sponsorship environment
Ø Should be able to demonstrate understanding of the role of sponsorship to deliver commercial and brand objectives
Ø Knowledge of ethics and corporate governance ethos.
Ø Strong communication and presentation skills.
Capacity to propose solutions, make advices.
Preferred Skills
Key Competencies:
Good knowledge of modern communication techniques: mobile fax, data transmissions, WAP, GPRS; Very good knowledge of different handsets and their performances
interest for new mobile technology, awareness of this specific market; Fluency in English;
Representing/Selling the company products to dealers, retailers; Implementing/Coordinating sales initiatives; Influencing/Advising customers on company products & services
Problem solving/Designing solutions to sales related issues arising in the course of work to the satisfaction of customers; Planning route plans, sales promos & initiatives;

Purpose of the Role:
This is a key support role to the Finance Director.
Partner Markets and Indian Ocean (PMIO) reports to Africa Regional Markets (ARM), and comprising of over twenty Distributor/Contract brewing markets in West and Central Africa, plus Indian Ocean countries.
PMIO business unit covers the following countries:- Cote D’Ivoire, , Gabon, Togo, Benin, DRC, Congo,Equatorial Guinea, Chad, CAR, Mauritania, Sao Tome, Principe, Benin, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cape Verde, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Gambia, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Niger, Mali, Seychelles, La Reunion, Mauritius, Madagascar and Mayotte.
The Partner Markets (West and Central Africa) is geared to be the growth engine for ARM .These are relatively complex markets operated through 3rd party customers.
The focus is primarily on beer, with an enormous growth opportunity in premium imported spirits.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the business performance agenda within PMIO, providing concise, quality management information on key business drivers.
2.Responsible for the timely and accurate production of a monthly BPM pack, R&O, AOP and strategic plan packs which guarantee full integrity of market financials in compliance with the shareholders reporting standards for sub-markets and oversight over the delivery of similar reports for WACA, Seychelles and Reunion.
3. Continuously research and build understanding and knowledge of the PMIO business   module from a commercial and financial perspective.
4. Develop a culture of data accuracy and integrity across all financial information.
Reporting:
•Manage performance across the units with a view to forecasting future performance accurately
•Providing insightful performance review of key drivers behind net sales, A&P, overheads, cash and any others exceptional items both at hub and individual markets level.
•Consolidate PMIO Hub information into BPM pack and submit to the FD and GM for review.
•Support BPM Team and the ARM Finance Team with insights and estimates for performance reviews/BPM calls.
•Manage and report the PMIO Overheads to ensure complete and on budget of Spends on a monthly basis
Planning:
•Partner with various stakeholders (WACA sales and marketing, Amsterdam supply, DBS Budapest, Seychelles and Reunion Finance Teams etc) to drive the preparation of error free and timely Final Outlook, Stratplan and AOP numbers in line with the planning calendar.
•Liaise with Market Managers and hub GMs and other stakeholders to forecast sales volumes and leverage that to prepare robust PMIO R&Os on a monthly basis.

Qualifications and Experience:
Business degree with accounting qualification
•Minimum 5 years experience in Financial Reporting, Consolidation and Planning.
•Strong relationship management skills
•Experience working with a virtual team would be an added advantage
•Financial & Management reporting (Local & international).
•Group IFRS and Reporting Requirements/Instructions

Context/Scope:

Market Complexity:
Interact with HRBPs, other market HR teams, employees, Line Managers, other First point Teams and can connect across Africa and globally
Purpose of the role:

The Documents and Data Team for First Point Africa specialize in supporting all ‘cradle to grave’ employee lifecycle events, including the creation of all employee documents and data and maintenance of critical employee and position data on our Workday HR system. They are also responsible for resolving cases and queries that are referred on, or escalated by the Contact Centre related to documentation of data. The Documents and data specialists have a ruthless focus on accuracy and quality of approach and resolution while delivering consistent high performance against defined metrics and SLA’s. The focus on high-quality customer service is enabled by technology including case management technology (Service Now), Workday, Doc Genie and Knowledge Point as well as keen personal judgment, expertise and capability
Top 3 to 5 Accountabilities:
  • Delivers service to agreed performance levels and beyond, collaborates with other teams to reduce handoffs and complexity for the customer. Specific SLA targets relate to; Speed to close queries, Data and Documentation Accuracy and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Provides excellent customer experience by being a point of contact for documents and data requests and enquiries for employees and line managers.
  • Drives Continuous Process improvement through diagnosing, investigating and developing solutions.
  • Excellent team working within the wider First Point, collaborating with others to ensure service continuity, great customer experience, mutual learning and growth and overall reputation. This includes ensuring continuous service offering from first point for customers through providing phone (and activity creation) cover for the Contact Centre when needed.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are understood and adhered to in relation to process execution and ways of working and that all CARM controls are upheld within the team and with customers. Zero breaches of data privacy, security or COBC policies.
Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of HR capability and experience in a large multinational organization
  • HR systems or related technology or an aptitude to quickly pick up systems and applications
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
  • Experience in HR is highly desirable (previous HR Systems experience is highly valued).
  • Experience of working in a Shared Services environment is also advantageous.
  • Prior experience of working with legal documents or maintaining complex data changes desirable.
  • Prior experience in delivering excellent customer experience is essential.
  • Experience of working in a high paced environment, deliver to tight deadlines and managing expectations of stakeholders
