Context/Scope:
First
point Africa provides HR support services to; Nigeria, East Africa
Breweries Ltd (and its various business units), Africa Regional
Markets (and its various business units), Diageo SA and
Brandhouse

Managers and HR colleagues across the markets it supports.

with HRBPs, other market HR teams, employees, Line Managers, other
First point Teams and can connect across Africa and globally
Purpose
of the role:
The
Documents and Data Team for First Point Africa specialize in
supporting all ‘cradle to grave’ employee lifecycle events,
including the creation of all employee documents and data and
maintenance of critical employee and position data on our Workday HR
system. They are also responsible for resolving cases and queries
that are referred on, or escalated by the Contact Centre related to
documentation of data. The Documents and data specialists have a
ruthless focus on accuracy and quality of approach and resolution
while delivering consistent high performance against defined metrics
and SLA’s. The focus on high-quality customer service is enabled by
technology including case management technology (Service Now),
Workday, Doc Genie and Knowledge Point as well as keen personal
judgment, expertise and capability
Top
3 to 5 Accountabilities:
- Delivers
service to agreed performance levels and beyond, collaborates with
other teams to reduce handoffs and complexity for the customer.
Specific SLA targets relate to; Speed to close queries, Data and
Documentation Accuracy and Customer Satisfaction.
- Provides
excellent customer experience by being a point of contact for
documents and data requests and enquiries for employees and line
managers.
- Drives
Continuous Process improvement through diagnosing, investigating and
developing solutions.
- Excellent
team working within the wider First Point, collaborating with others
to ensure service continuity, great customer experience, mutual
learning and growth and overall reputation. This includes ensuring
continuous service offering from first point for customers through
providing phone (and activity creation) cover for the Contact Centre
when needed.
- Ensure
compliance requirements are understood and adhered to in relation to
process execution and ways of working and that all CARM controls are
upheld within the team and with customers. Zero breaches of data
privacy, security or COBC policies.
Skills
and Experience:
- Tertiary
qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Proven
track record of HR capability and experience in a large
multinational organization
- HR
systems or related technology or an aptitude to quickly pick up
systems and applications
- Strong
Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
- Experience
in HR is highly desirable (previous HR Systems experience is highly
valued).
- Experience
of working in a Shared Services environment is also advantageous.
- Prior
experience of working with legal documents or maintaining complex
data changes desirable.
- Prior
experience in delivering excellent customer experience is essential.
- Experience
of working in a high paced environment, deliver to tight deadlines
and managing expectations of stakeholders

Barley
and Malt are the principal raw materials used in the manufacture of
beer and East African Maltings Limited has the strategic role of
providing competitively priced brewing raw materials to meet EABL
supply requirements.
East African Maltings intent is to support
both EABL Supply and Demand’s strategic activities, protect the
quality of our brands, support innovation and creation of competitive
advantage for the EABL group within the Eastern African Region.
EAML
aims to be the preferred supplier of Quality Malt and Barley in the
Eastern African region, create wealth for all its stakeholders and
contribute to the regional economy.
Market
complexity:
EAML
is established to produce agricultural products mainly malting barley
and malt. This is supplied to various customers to meet their varied
requirements in quality and quantity.
The company needs to
continuously develop new, high yielding varieties of superior
maltings qualities in terms of low grain nitrogen and high extracts,
evaluate pesticides and agronomic practises for improved barley
growing.
Purpose
of the role:
To
support the Business FP&R manager in embedding and operating a
world class BPM process and provide expertise in managing,
forecasting, reporting, overheads and month end processes to ensure
the business makes informed decisions.
Leadership
responsibility:
This position works within the Finance team and
has responsibility over interfacing with cross-functional teams
across the Group Companies seeking & implementing best
practice.
Top
3 to 5 accountabilities:
- Ensure
monthly financial processes are managed and performed on time in
full to provide timely management information across the business
making use of insightful gap/variance analysis.

Partner
Markets and Indian Ocean (PMIO) reports to Africa Regional Markets
(ARM), and comprising of over twenty Distributor/Contract brewing
markets in West and Central Africa, plus Indian ocean
countries.
PMIO business unit covers the following
countries:- Cote D’Ivoire, , Gabon, Togo, Benin, DRC, Congo,
Equatorial Guinea, Chad, CAR, Mauritania, Sao Tome, Principe, Benin,
Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cape Verde, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Gambia,
Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Niger, Mali, Seychelles, La Reunion,
Mauritius, Madagascar and Mayotte.
The Partner Markets (West and
Central Africa) is geared to be the growth engine for ARM. These are
relatively complex markets operated through 3rd
party
customers.
Diageo currently operates through 3rd party
distributors and has limited in-market presence except through these
distributors. The focus is primarily on beer, with an enormous growth
opportunity in premium imported spirits.
Partner Markets requires
the services of a Commercial Manager to be fully accountable to
define and lead the commercial strategy, lead our Route to Consumer
agenda and execute our sales team capability development
plans.
Market
Complexity:
Market
complexity is high with a range of diverse markets at different
levels of development. The route to market and range of partners will
provide complexity to the role.
The TBA landscape in the market is
typically one of high import tariffs and immature retail landscape.
Understanding and developing the RTM is key to grow our brands.
There
are currently approx. 14 people employed in WACA hub. Currently 30%
is based in Cameroon and 70% in markets.
The
Commercial Manager will need:

Leadership

role has significant people leadership responsibility through

organization both within and outside the commercial functional area
- Secure
the best RTC in all our PMIO priority markets.
- Support
our 4 business Units with the best-in-class RTC proposal.
- Motivate
the third party sales force behind a clear, simple and powerful
trade strategy, engendering strong and supportive trade
relationships at senior and industry level
- Partner
with all GMs to recruit, develop, retain, lead and motivate the
Sales and Commercial team to ensure superb execution of plans across
the Region
Foster
outstanding collaboration and build relationships both within and
outside Diageo Partner MarketsQualifications

- Suitable
university degree. Business qualification ideal.
