Job description
Main Job Purpose
Ensure efficient and cost effective running of Shift operations for the production of high quality finished products on time, paying close attention to labour/equipment allocation and in compliance with all safety/environment and TPM principles.
Key Accountabilities
Ø Full responsibility for cost, quality and safety of shift operations.
Ø Full responsibility for the planning and execution of production plan.
Ø Ensure Overall Equipment Efficiency targets are met during the shift.
Ø Ensure that materials are available in good time at the lines.
Ø Ensure proper allocation and utilization of labour in the shift.
Ø Communicate shift performance to factory management and shop floor.
Ø Ensure optimal material flow and control during the shift
Ø Motivate, train and develop the employees’ skills
Ø Discipline employees for
Ø Ensure compliance with all relevant internal Unilever policies and applicable legal and regulatory framework
Ø Responsible implementation of TPM pillars.
Professional skills/experience required
Ø University Degree in Science discipline or Engineering
Ø Proven experience in people management.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Junior sous chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
  • Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte andor buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
  • Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings
  • Ensure all kitchen Colleagues are aware of standards and expectations
  • Liaise daily with Outlet Chefs to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback
  • Continually strive to improve food preparation and presentations
  • Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
    • Previous experience in the Culinary field required
    • Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent required
    • DiplomaCertification in a Culinary discipline an asset
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
      Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
    • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
    • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs

CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER
OIL & GAS LOGISTICS
BASED MOMBASA OR NAIROBI

We are looking for an experienced client facing manager to ensure the service levels for our Oil and GAS 3PL contracts in East Africa meet and exceed the Clients' expectations. The based from Mombasa or Nairobi, travel between location will required to brief management and client representatives.You will be strong on detail, have a rigid focus on customer service, and know how to spot pinch points in the supply chain. A background in Audit./ Business process with the logistics sector is ideal. We are particularly keen to speak with managers who have experience of Oil & Gas Supply chain processes in East Africa.


Desired Skills and Experience
Measure and analyze operations performance (KPI and/or internal indicator) and report it directly to Kenya management
· Calculate pre-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI), collect root cause failure, prepare corrective actions and communicate the same to the operational department
· Proactively define and suggest contingency plans to clients in order to avoid threats (bring forward/ postpone delivery)
· Monitor all tasks and ensure all steps of the monitoring Process are respected (E.g.: Inform client in case of strike, riot, congestion)
· Get involved in all issues impacting operations of customer shipment and liaise closely with department/ person in charge to get the latest progress.
· Organize Weekly meetings to review KPI, Achievement, pending issues, corrective action progress, Payment follow up, collect client expectations and outbound forecast
· Collect information from operation department, monitor shipment status corrective action progress and communicate it to the client and Management
· Constantly stay aware of new solutions (routing, clearance process) all potential risks impacting operations negatively and share information with the department involved and the client.
· Suggest optimization of supply chain process and IT systems
· Transmit to Warehouse manager: Pre alert of arrival/ Forecast planning / Outbound forecast
· Participate in monthly inventory stock take and publish the audit result
· Follow up with Finance department on client invoices and payment status and assist them on solving the issues raised.
· Liaise with Quality and Operations department and ensure current processes are followed and if necessary suggest an Audit to determine the root cause or publish/modify new SOP (standard Operational Process)
· Ensure new process are respected and remain PIC or department in charge if necessary
