Job description

  • Responsible for developing and growing Special Machines and used equipment sales within Middle East Africa.
  • Develop/enable a Special Machines and Used Equipment channel within the current IBM Business Partner Network
  • Identification of opportunities for sales of such machines to Business Partners and End User customers in the respective countries GARS (Global Asset Recovery Services) equipment (cross brand) as part of total solutions to customers.
  • Structure attractive deals and value propositions in close cooperation with GARS Center of Excellence in Budapest
  • The country trader will report to the local IBM Global Finance Manager, but will receive direct functional guidance from the GARS Leader Central East Europe &Middle East Africa Growth Market Territory.
  • The person must be highly entrepreneurial and self-driven

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 6 years experience in Developing and growing special machines and used equipment sales
  • English: Fluent

Preferred
  • Business/Management
  • At least 8 years experience in Developing and growing special machines and used equipment sales

Job description

  • Manage the various inbound/outbound and warehouse operations and ensure compliance to service expectations and quality standards
  • Manage the proper use of the existing technology and systems
  • Maintain and improve the quality of the service and commit to pass the various quality audits
  • Manage all sales projects according to client’s requirements and contracts
  • Keep record of customer visits and update it regularly.
  • Manager the customer service function within the operational teams and handle complaints to ensure professionalism and on-time resolution
  • Lead the improvement of projects to increase operational efficiency and improve performance.
  • Work with the Station Manager on setting the yearly objectives and expansion/development plans
  • Measure, control and evaluate the express team leaders/supervisors performance
  • Responsible for ensuring illegal and hazardous shipment do not get through the operations
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the related local authorities and airlines to facilitate business growth and development
  • Manage the total operations expenses according to the set budget

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in a related field
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer Proficiency: MS office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
  • Possession of proven business networks.
  • Must have excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Must be able to work well in multicultural environment
  • Must have excellent analytical and research skills
  • Must have a minimum of 5 year experience within a similar position

Reporting to the
Sector Manager – Government Sector,the role holder will be in charge of developing, managing and expanding the Public Sector accounts customer base, relations and services to ensure growth, profitability and retention of the Public Sector accounts customer segment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;
  • Effectively manage the existing/newly acquired Public Sector accounts in terms of uptake of other products and services (VAS), payments, revenue growth, provision of advisory services, delivery issues, post-paid process end to end and ensure compliance to the set agreement requirements;
  • Effectively develop and manage relationship matrix and engagement models for the key accounts;
  • Proactively attend to Public Sector customers issues on serv. ice provision and get an excellent customer rating;
  • Develop and manage implementation of effective promotional activities within the sales channel;
  • Prepare and timely submit accurate periodic reports to stakeholders as per need.
  • Drive Enterprise delight Index and Customer Satisfaction Index;

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A degree in Business Administration/Bachelor of commerce or related field;
  • Must have 5 years’ experience working in Sales;
  • Strong relationship building skills preferably from a major blue chip company;
  • Ability to inspire and manage a sales team;
  • New business development skills;
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver results i.e. meet and surpass targets;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive, confident, energetic & with ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Must demonstrate sales planning, forecasting and sales execution experience.
