Employment terms: Permanent contract
Salary: £ 32,914 per annum pro rata
Based: London UK or possibly East Africa –with approximately 25% International travel

Governance & Accountability Advisor. As a member of the Governance Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice on participatory governance, social accountability and advocacy to selected CARE Country Offices in Africa.At the same time he/she will drive the team’s work on the internal accountability and lead on exciting work to supporting CARE Country Offices in setting up accountability systems, in particular focusing on transparency, beneficiary participation and feedback/ complaints mechanisms.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in Africa and have strong advisoryskills.

  • Experience supporting the development and/or implementation of participatorygovernance and social accountability initiatives will be essential.
  • In-depth understanding of accountability frameworks/standards and experience in setting up systems that promote transparency, beneficiary participation and feedback is required.


The successful candidate must hold 

  • a Master’s degree in development or related subject, or have equivalent expertise gained in other ways and must have strong project and budget management skills (including M&E) and experience of liaising with donors.
  • Proven team working and high quality writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and in French is desirable.

Our client a well established company is in search of a Key Accounts Manager.
Location: Nairobi – Kenya.
Key Qualification:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Animal Health and or Veterinarian.
  • Must have 5 years experience in sales / key account management.
  • Must be very well networked in the Animal Health Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build networks on local and government level to grow business
  • Analyse trends in the animal health environment
  • Strategise and Identify new market opportunities in the regions
  • Provide disease entity training to distributors/vets and farmers
  • Drive product marketing strategies within wholesalers/distributors.
  • Analyse and give feedback on competitor activities regularly
  • Preparing an annual budgets plan and control costs

General Mechanic vacancy


General Mechanic - Somalia
Our client, an international company is looking for Mechanics. The successful client will operate, maintain and repair the company’s transport equipment as per work instructions in accordance with the company’s standards. He/she must ensure that services meet customer’s requirements and expectation. The incumbent MUST have worked in war-zone areas.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Execute proper faultfinding and diagnostics on all vehicles and construction equipments.
  • Request and follow-up of relevant spare parts.
  • Ensure completed work orders are handed over to supervisor.
  • Adhere to the DOSHS regulations and rules and maintain a safe working environment in the workshop.
  • Effectively use a wide variety of hand, power and computer diagnostic tools and testing equipments.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and presented.
  • Adhere to the approved flat-rate hours for repairs and maintenance.
  • Present on the job training to students, including all relative tests and evaluations if needed.
  • The company’s places a strong emphasis on health,operational safety and environmental protection.
  • Undertake any additional duties as directed by the transport supervisor.

Qualification:-

  • Diploma in motor vehicle engineering.
  • Professional qualification in motor vehicle electrical and mechanics is a must.
  • A practical knowledge of occupational health and safety standard is a bonus.
  • Craft certificate or DIT grade I  is an added advantage.
  • Must be computer literacy.
  • Must have a valid driving license (BCE) with a good track record.
  • Must have worked in war-zone areas.
  • Must be between 30-40 years.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh.102,000 /=(Approx. 1,200 USD) Deadline: 1st March 2014
